  • Not bad dude, keep at it. But the drums are mixed WAY down on those songs.

that's what i think as well.
they are very rough mixes. i think they all could use some EQing. bring the bass up some.

I agree with the rough mix comments, but nice work. I really like the energy of Downtime - kinda funky. Thanks for sharing.

Hey....repay the favor to me please...

    http://www.myspace.com/thefifthnj

Downtime rocks and has a great In My Tree and Can't Keep Vibe to it...drum fill in the beginning gives that away...harmonies are right on....and also has a screaming trees vibe! I dig!

Hung has a cool little Three Fish vibe to it. Obviously I dig it
It's good to see some upbeat music these days instead of the "hair covering one eye, no smiling, screamo crap

Not to be mean by any means necessary, but more of an advice...

If you haven't gotten any vocal lessons - it's something I advise, and is something I sent my singer to do as well, because it'll just help in the long run and you'll be even more comfortable and be able to belt out lots of notes you may have been insecure about.

I think every unsigned artist should get vocal lessons whether they are dead-on or not....it's more about training than hitting notes.

My internet connection is crapping out so it'll take a while to listen to the other 2 unfortunately...i get 3 seconds, then nada, 3 seconds, nada, etc...I'm on a verizon wireless account.

Curious as to what you guys think of me as well :)

Keep up the good work buddy.

I appreciate people coming and checking us out. Any criticism is appreciated. or if you like it the way it is feel free to stroke our ego. the fifth rocks.
I, along with matt(the other singer) have both thought about vocal lessons, but we're dead ass broke. maybe once gigs start rolling in more frequently.

go to garageband.com/artist/leapyear1 to hear all the songs we've recorded so far. 13 are up and running. we have over 30 and counting in our arsenal.
    thank you
