Bass head and cabinet help needed

I'm having trouble hooking up my Hartke 3500 head with my Crate 2x15 cabinet. The cabinet says 350 watt max and 4 ohms impedence while the head says 350 watts at 4 ohms or 280 watts at 8 ohms. the head only has two 8 ohm speaker outputs. how am I suppused to hook these up? according to the numbers, the head and cab should work fine together, but I'm hearing some occasional static and don't want to damage my cabinet.

That's a solid state head, so you are fine. It will select the correct ohms.
The manual backs that up. The noise you are hearing is probably a dirty input jack or something
