  • A fat strat has a bucker in the bridge position, whereas a regular strat has a single coil.

  • I have a fat strat

    I think Dirty does too...

I personally like the single-single-single layout better but my strat sounds awesome! :D

When I get the cash I'm going to sell it and hopefully get around $250 and buy a deluxe ash strat with the s-1 switching for around 650-700

I've had my eye on the American Deluxe Ash but they don't have the color I want!

IMO, Strats should have 3 singles.

Agreed. To me, thats what makes a Strat a Strat. I'm glad I got mine without a double coil in sight.

Aged Cherry? That's the color I want but no one has it, I found it once in a guitar center and that is when I first fell in love with that strat.

IMO the humbucker on the fat strat doesn't sound like a "real bucker"...it just add's a little "fat" to the single bridge
