I was getting some wicked tones out of my Traynor tonight. I don't know what it is. I didn't switch any of the settings up, but the sounds coming out of it were just amazing. Nice smooth overdrive with dynamics to boot.
I turned it up for a little Pinball Wizard and YLB, then toned it down a little and played a little Hendrix: Red House, House Burning Down and of course a little Voodoo Chile.
I'm thinking my playing was just on tonight and it carried over into my baby.
This seriously made my night.

I think you hit it on the head there... the gear only translates what you put into it... sometimes as a player you can just be "on," like you said.
It is good to have those nights, no doubt.
