    I envy you, my setup:

Ibanez GAX 50 humbucking PRS shape ripoff -->

into Digitech RP50 digital multieffects unit -->

into Ibanez 15 watt solid state practice amp

All with crappy cables. I'm saving up for a new amp, going to sell the RP50 probably, then get a new guitar.

  • I play a 2001 American Deluxe Fat Strat and occasionally a Squier M-77 in which I'm putting a Duncan Jazz in the neck and a JB in the bridge.
In my pedal board I have a Boss SD-1, a Fulltone Fulldrive, a Visual Sound H2O liquid chorus/echo, a Vox Clyde McCoy wah, and a morley ABY.
My two amps are a Marshall JCM 900 SL-X with a Carvin 2x12 cab, and a Peavey Classic 50 2x12 BT. These amps are A/B 'd. The Peavey is for clean / light overdrive, and the Marshall is for balls out distortion.

what's the pink one with 6 knobs? I'm jealous of the sweet spot.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    Thanks man :)
The pink one is the Sybil by Retroman, it is 50% Ge and 50% Si fuzz and they can run by themselves, or into each other. This pedal is so unique I can't put into words, but I can point you to some killer clips.
    http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/carlygtr_music.htm
Carl did all these clips, this guy has chops and the time to test and post clips of all these hot pedals. Check it out.
I just ordered som 6v6s for the Sweetspot it will drop it to 18 watts and I am hoping for less clean headroom, it should do the trick.

Yeah, it will have less headroom, mild breakup should occur around 4-5 on the volume knob what brand did you decide on?

I went with matched JJs, I just spent 350 on GEC Kt66s. The JJs were $40 and Dave said they are great, I have the JJ 6L6s now and I have no complaints. I figure if I was going to spend money on NOS tubes it was going to be for the JTM :)

Behringer LX112, Squier SP10, Magnavox speakers
    amp7fp.jpg

The Dillion really feels better than any other real Gibson LP I've played. Squier and the Olympia are just shit. I'm gonna go looking for a MIM or a new acoustic (hopefully a Dillion acoustic) next week. The picture of the Dillion has a smudge but that's from the camera. The picture also doesn't show the creame trim around neither....

The amp setup has a unique and decent sound. The magnavox speakers give a natural distortion (not shit distortion either) and the Squier has a nice twangy sound. Behringer has a V-amp Pro built in so that's where the effects come from, however, it's usually bypassing the effects and just on a custom clean sound. I don't use the RP50 and I rarely use the foot switch.
