I need tuners: Point me in the direction...

I had a little bit too much fun on New Years, and one of the tuners on my Les Paul is bent... oops...

I'm replacing them all, as I see no point in just replacing the one tuner. I have these Grover ones on my acoustic and they work fantastic.

I don't really need locking tuners, and I think these will just fine. Thoughts?

Thinking about adding this to the order to replace the standard Epiphone bridge.

these are really cool, as are the Sperzel lockers and the Grover Lockers. Stew Mac sells loads of good ones.

you might also get some big bends nut sauce and or check out the new graph tech saddles for tune o matic bridges.

I'll be going with lockers on the new guitar, if I have to swap, I'll be getting the P dubs, because it's just pull tighten and tune and they trim themselves.

I have these Schaller M6's on my Les Paul http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead/Schaller_M-6_Guitar_Machines.html
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
  • As I look through the catalouge, I see things I really should take care of:

New push/pull pot to replace the scratchy one
Cap for the selector because the one I have is scratched
Tailpiece, the one I have is junk
    Tuners

The best part is that Stewmac sells the stuff for less than half that the stores around here do.

before you swap the pot you might get some potentiometer (tuner) cleaner and spray them out first to see if they just need cleaner/lube

Yeah, I did that awhile ago, and it's clean as it's going to be. It's a not huge deal with the scratchyness, but I think it's just worn since it's been pushed and pulled countless times. Stewmac has them for like 13 bucks, so it's not a huge deal to replace it.

Stewmac seems really CDN shipping friendly. I like the option of ordering one day, and having it at my door the next. I'll probably do that. I need to get the guitar into my tech before my band starts rehearsing again next week.
  • lmao.

i dunno much about tuning pegs but that's a funny accident to me.
