If you can pick just one.
Mines is the No More Tears solo played by Zakk Wylde. Just unbelievable... Wow!

I don't care how technical it is or whatnot...that solo gets my blood rushing and my head pounding everytime. The solo is PURE rock n' roll.

my brother and cousin really are the greatest guiatar players i ever seen
Of course. Alive is an amazing solo. Full of emotion.
I could actually put any McCready solo in my top 5. I really like the solo from Down.
McCready is by far my favourite player.
Followed by: Jimmy Page, Slash, EVH, and Zakk Wylde.
I learned the No More Tears solo for my band in highschool, but we never ended up playing it. I made sure I could Eruption in there instead, even though it's not as hard as it looks. Just very flashy and a whole lot of fun to play.
David Gilmour is one of the most lyrical players. His phrasing is amazing, beyond pretty well all other famous players. Add Knopfler to that category as well.
PS. Comfortably Numb is from the Wall.
Sultans of Swing is an amazing solo
Awesome song...but i'm going to go with:
Like a Hurricane - Neil Young
All of the fast picking in that song is amazing. I don't know how Knopfler does it!
I agree man the solo in down is awesome...i love the one in leash...animal...so much off Vs. and everything but Vs. mike just shreads...i love it!!!!
