bruce - star spangled banner on 12 string acoustic

has anyone else heard this? it was on the vote for change tv special....i have it on dvd......he fingerpicks with the melody and it is the best thing you'll ever hear.....i have a 12 string, and i know how to play the melody, but i don't know how to begin fingerpicking chords while also playing the melody line......someday maybe
