THE POINT OF THIS THREAD IS TO SHOW WHAT YOU GOT, NOT CRITICIZE WHAT OTHERS HAVE POSTED!!!!!

obviously, no one is ever as good as YOU!

this is my youtube page. i have like 16 or so videos on it. covers. right now i have some covers up by pj, soundgarden, aic, rage, stp and nirvana. its fun that way. when i jam with friends or a band, we do our own stuff but for youtube i love doing covers. i try to do a few a week. i'm actually in the process of uploading 'freedom' by rage right now! did it a few hours ago haha.

anyways, can't wait to check out other people's stuff.

The only thing I'd say is, when you go for those bends, put more balls behind them. A perfectly held, sustained bend, with a sustained head to toe vibrato at the same time, is what separates Hendrix from everyone else, so aim for that! Otherwise, nice. :)

  • Decided to do something unique here: a drum clip.

Sloppy little thing i did REALLY fast before going out the other night. Pretty soon I'll actually try to organize a little something and get it down. Don't know if you'll be able to tell, but the beat I start off with is "Animal" with a little variation. Sorry that the sound quality isn't great.

  • A medley of 44 songs that Pearl Jam has either played or covered. I did this as a last ditch effort to show I'm a huge fan and get someone to sell me their last Vic ticket (unsuccessfully)

Stevieraveon, that was truly, truly amazing man. That is one of the best covers and talent I have seen on you tube. Just unbeliavble man!
How long have you been playing guitar for?
How much practice time did it take you to organize this awesome medley and play it so well!
I can't tell you enough how awesome and inspiring that was!

Thanks for the comment. I've been playing about 10 years, but only as a bedroom guitarist...have never played with anyone else before or in public.

It took me about an hour to try and figure out some good transitions between some songs, and I wrote down the order of the first half of the medley or so and was happy. For the second half or so I couldn't think of smooth transitions so I just kind of played a bunch of random stuff.

Very well done. Do you still play and practice a lot?
  • Maybe a little repetitive and rough around the edges, but since we're a dental school band, we don't have a lot of time to write, so here's what we've got.

My drumming has improved since this. It kind of sucks, but it was my first time ever on stage.
My first PJ show to witness was at Bonnaroo. How is that for lucky?

That's me on the left, playing lead and not singing. There are other videos under my BinFrog account of just me messing around in the basement, as well as a couple others playing with the same kid in this video.

(good job to the original poster in the "Waste" video too. Huge Phish fan here.)
