Hey guys and Gals. Hey does anyone know what effects Mike Mccready used during the 2003 tour to get that amazing sound for "yellow Ledbetter" like during the Madison Square Garden performance?
Thanks Alot,
Brandon

go to the gear section of http://www.giventowail.com and you can check out Mike's (and Stone's and Jeff's and Ed's) guitar gear. Everything from pedals to amps to guitars, it's on there. Very good site for tabs too. Enjoy.
basically, i'm thinkin that mainly what Mike is using is his ts-9 and he normally throws some wah in there as well.
"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone
"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
Delay sounds - Line 6 DL4
OD - TS9 (unsure of the vintage)
Wah - 535Q
position 4 on a strat. (neck and middle)
yeah thats it

it has the sounds from the song mike copped to come up with the riff included.
if you have a strat...put the clean channel on...then on the strait out hte pickup switch to position 4 (2nd from top)
I get all hot and bothered just thinking about it... God bless Leo Fender and position-4 strat...
You get that way too? *phew*
I was worried I was going through menopause, what with all the hot flashes.
