I won Battle of the bands today!

Hey all,

thought i woudl spread the news, me along with my new Hot Rod Deluxe won the battle of the bands today playing RITFW! itw as just at three peice with me doign guitar and vocals, then my buddies/band on bass and drums. It was a great performance and peopel really digged it. Out of 5 bands we were the top. I won an ipod nano (pretty good for a chincy high school prize) and i won a gig to open for a band during thier CD release party, so i better get writing! anyways take it easy guys, and go buy some hot rods!

    I've won a bunch of battle of the bands and I've never gotten any prizes out of it! That's awesome.

    Way to go, Harrison! Back when I started, that was the only way you could get a show on a weekend here in town, and as an opener at that. You had to beat out like 20 bands in a big battle. Shared backline, 2 songs, 10 minutes max. It was hectic, but it kept things interesting.
