cornell mic equipment

I saw chris cornell the other night in Glasgow. He was very good i have to say - his voice sounded not bad at all.

Anyway, i was wondering if anyone knows what the wee black box with the green LED surround was on the stage just at the front which he kept either lightly standing on or tapping with the microphone every so often?

I'm guessing its a vocal delay or echo pedal. He uses that alot, on nearly every song on the Seattle bootleg theres a huge delay.

Its an echo box pretty much. It repeats what he sings exactly, just after he says it.

That sounds about right although he didn't use one at the Astoria or Hyde Park Calling. Did you notice any delay on the vocals? He used to use delays a lot on the first Audioslave tour.

I've got you. There did appear to be a delay on some of the audioslave tracks actually, but i never really thought much of it at the time! Would this be used to help make his voice sound better as well? he did sound excellent i have to say.

Well the best I've heard him on this tour was at the London Astoria (even more noticeable on the bootleg!) and there was no delay on his voice then.

Thats the very thing. He kept tapping it with his foot or the mic if he was leaning on down.

Well sure it was there but I didn't notice any delay on his vocals there or on the bootleg. It's probably a foot controller for a rack unit or something.
