edit, thats also with his overdrive on the amp or through the ts9, i dunno which one
on NAIS his solo sound is delay, wah, fender blender (fuzz/octave)
also some sounds (whale sounds) are probably made by careful pick scraping wiht that wah/delay set up.

i love his fuckin delay, not the pedal but how he uses it, sometimes its just a short echo other times it echos for a while and the time delay is longer
http://www.theskyiscrape.com has it on mp3. it was in 1995 it think.. chad smith plays drums for that one.
the work mike does with the delay is why i consider him one of the greatest.

soldiers field in chicago 1995
I'm not sure when it was, but I know for sure it wasn't at soldier field.
they played it twice
the one that pj and toast is talking about is at soldiers field becaues thats the one that has his long ass solo with the delay
check theskyiscrape.com
i take it you are talking about Maggot Brain right? which Mike starts playing right after Little Wing. you should check out the original by Funkadelic or Mike Watts version (well at least its on a Mike Watt album, i'm not sure if it is him playing it.)
