Looks like we lost our sticky folks, so here is where we'll post.
The Show:
Flight to Mars (featuring Mike McCready) will perform a special benefit concert for the Northwest Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) at Seattle's Showbox at the Market on Saturday, May 3rd. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, March 7th through http://www.ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets cost $18 in advance ($22 day of show) plus applicable service charges.
Local indie-rockers Feral Children and singer-songwriter Kristen Ward join Flight to Mars for an evening of music in support of CCFA's continued work toward finding a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In addition, McCready will perform a very special Tribute to Jimi Hendrix during the opening set and will be joined by brothers Rick and Chris Friel -- cofounders of McCready's original band Shadow.
In 2002 McCready made public his 20-year battle with Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis and has since been committed to raising awareness and funding for CCFA. "As a patient living with Crohn's and colitis, the CCFA has played a huge part in helping me get the support and information that I need," says McCready. "I'm grateful that my band mates and friends can support and join me for a night of music and fun that will help us find a cure for these debilitating diseases."
VIP Pre-Party Packages:
An exclusive VIP party will be held at the Showbox prior to the concert at 6pm. Hosted by the Wishlist Foundation, the proceeds from the party will go to further benefit the Northwest Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
VIP attendees will receive a laminated pass to the show, catch the sound check while mingling with other fans, enjoy delicious appetizers, cash bar, receive a special gift bag, and the opportunity to meet the band for top bidders.
A limited amount of VIP tickets, starting at $100 per pair, will be available for purchase on eBay later this month. For more information about the VIP ticket packages, please visit the Wishlist Foundation.

From Greg's 2005 BBQ thread -
The BBQ will be at Alki Beach in West Seattle, Friday evening, May 2nd, 2008, around 6:00PM. If you can, please bring some food or beverages with you- if you come empty handed, that's cool too.
Driving Directions:
Meet up near the mini Statue of Liberty, which is on the grassy area west of the sandy beach.
http://maps.msn.com/map.aspx?C=47.57...le%2c+WA+98116
From Seatac Airport :
Follow signs to I-5 North (they're easy to find)
Take exit 163 (West Seattle Bridge)
From Downtown Seattle:
Follow signs to I-5 South
Take exit 163 (West Seattle Bridge)
As you cross over the bridge, move to the right lanes
Take the "Harbor AVE" exit (NOT Harbor ISLAND!)
Take a right at the stoplight, and follow the park/waterline for about 4 miles.
When you pass the beach/volleyball courts, start looking for parking. The BBQ will be in the area near the Statue of Liberty, which is about 200 yards past the sandy beach area.
By Water Taxi from downtown:
Take the ferry from Pier 55 in downtown ($3). When you reach West Seattle, look for the free shuttle in the parking lot, and ask the driver to let you off when you reach the Statue of Liberty. (Shuttle drivers are very friendly)
Time tables and more info: http://transit.metrokc.gov/tops/oto/water_taxi.html
By Bus:
Board the 56 or 56 Express bus on the southbound direction of 1st Ave in downtown Seattle. Get off at the last stop (Starbucks) and head down to the water/statue. (Bus is $1.50, exact change)

Staying downtown?
11pm is the last water taxi from Seacrest (near Alki) to downtown.
There is a free shuttle from Seacrest to Alki Beach.
