  • get guitar/sheet music books (or look at them in the music isle and right them down ;) ) in the back. there is usually a chord chart of some kind.

I found a program called "easychord"... its a freeware thingy and it's fantastic. It displays hundreds of chords and their positions as well as letting you "find" chords by allowing you to place a dot over a certain string and fret - click on find chord and it gives you the name for it!

Really nice and easy program to use :)

p.s. just google "easychord" because I can't remember the link or ocht?
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Learn the theory behind chords, if you know WHY they call a chord Asus7/dom7 etc, you should also know how to play it. It is all to do with the keys scale. I would elaborate but i am not to clued up meself.

    Good luck.
