may be getting a guitar from warmoth

im thinking about getting a 2nd tele from warmoth
i currently have a 2000 american tele
1st off
what wood is the standard wood for american telecasters

will a warmoth body sound nearly as good (not expecting to sound as good or better, but i dont want it to sound shitty like a squire) as my american tele if i get a fender neck off ebay or something

    most of them are alder.

    the warmoth will be quality. no worries there.
