"Help Help" is one of the coolest PJ songs ever and it gets zero love.

Seriously, this is a great Pearl Jam song. The reason being: everything about it is so UN-PJ. So many cool things about it: The boom organ line that actually holds a groove during the verses and doesn't just following the guitar lines, Eddie singing in this weird falsetto during the verses, the chorus that explodes with this crazy ascending psychedelic riff with Eddie shouting "Help me" then the No Code-esque bridge where it breaks down that leads to a powerful ending with Ed chanting that climaxes with superfast Mike pentatonic run.

You can't deny it's great.

I love this song too! :)

I didn't used to think much of it, until I heard it on some of the 2003 boots... but loved it after that. The live versions are great IMO.

I thought this was one of the worse songs ever but it eventually grew on me and now i love it. Especially near the end when it gets so intense and boom's organ comes in. Not heard a live version of it in a looooooooonnnnnngggg time so i can't remember if it's any good or not.

after another listen, i will say that starting here, i do like the song, it actually gets rocking, but to get to that point, i just dont like the song, the part from 1:15 to 1:30, just sounds tired and i dont like the lyrics.

i start liking the song here:

    Reservoir
    Of hate and fear
    Invisible
    In repair
    A hundred theives
    Cast a spell
    This is hell

    Help me

The man they call my enemy, I've seen his eyes
He looks just like me, a mirror

The more you read, we've been deceived
    Everyday it becomes clearer,...

    Clearer.

Not my enemy,.. no, not my enemy,..
Don't speak for me. No, not my enemy

Why? Because it's innovative? Because the band actually stepped out of their comfort zone and tried something different sonically? Yep, that's why. Thumps UP to Help, Help....thumbs DOWN to almost everything else on Riot Act.
