Gretsch Duo Jet VS. Epiphone 56 goldtop

im looking at both these guitars and they both seem very good.
I have a masterbuilt Epiphone acoustic, so i know that epiphones are good. But how is the goldtop? I would probally replace the p90s with fralins or something better. Its about 599, which is in my price range, but with upgrages i would get into the 700 range. I would aslo probally put a bigsby on.
now for the Gretsch duo jet:
on ebay i saw a really nice one, that had a fixed arm bigsby (btw, can i get a new arm that isnt fixed), nitorcelulouse laquer (which seems cool), block inlays and all that jazz. I assume it is a much better guitar than the epiphone because it is twice as much (1200-1400).
Is it worthit to save up for a Gretsch Duo Jet, or just
get the epi gold top.
