What is a good second hand price for a gibson sg?

    depends......cheap if in poor condition, but some guitars are worth more the older they are.

    I would think the average 2nd hand price for any guitar would be 60% - 70% of it's original price.

    I got my 2nd hand Gibson Les Paul junior for $850 Singapore dollars, actual price was $1200. The guy owned a studio so he was looking to clear his gear to get better amplifiers and Fx pedals.

    I'd say $600-900 depending on model and condition would be a good buy. Certain models are worth more, either because of limited supply or high demand and collectability. You might pay as much as $1200 for a really nice, higher-end used SG. Then again, the Faded SG's should sell for $400-500 depending on condition, so... it really fluctuates. My final answer: $400-1200. Give or take a bit.
