its just beautiful... i aint no purist or anything but if he makes that sound via guitar and amp alone then thats just beautiful... no effects, just a lovely tone through his amp levels..

I'm trying to get my mini Orange to do the same but I just cant get the warmth... maybe I should buy me one of those mini Epiphone valve amps... :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

  • yeah and then he added a vintage bassman in the middle during the SA tour, idk if it was 70s or not

but i found u can get that tone pretty nicely with a Boss BD-2, just turn the tone way down and use the neck pickup

i really didnt like eds tone this tour to be honest...i really liked the SG sound of 2003

i bought an SG on that very basis... that and the 2000 tour boots/dvd made my mind up when it came to it.. i tried out various guitars but I'm a sucker for the look of the SG as much as the sound of it.

I like the tone on the Gone track especially...but I'm not sure what he's playing guitar wise on this track!

I take it he's still pedal-free at the moment as well?
