I just got my Ampeg R212R reverbrocket. I'll post a review and pictures later, but first i have to get it working! I plug it in, turn the power on, then standby, so there is sound coming out of the speakers (just a normal, slight hissing, very quiet). I turn the clean volume switch up, switch to the clean channel, and start playing. The amp is completely unresponsive to my playing! Nothing comes out of it! I even tried two diferent cables, and yes, jiggled them AND made sure the volume knob on my guitar was turned up to 10. Help! Sweet tube tone is so close, yet so far away.

there might be an extension cab switch that maybe in the on position...??
  • Hmmm,,, all knobs up?

The other thing it may be is that the cord isn't all the way into the jack on the amp. Sometimes they're tight and it seems like they're in, but aren't.

When you plug the cord into the amp, and you touch the other end, does it buzz? That would mean the problem is on the guitar end, but if it was working in another amp that would be unlikely..
