I have an Ibanez GAX30, pretty much bottom of the line. It plays great, is really resonant, looks ok, but the electronics suck (stock humbuckers). When I plug it in, the neck pickup is muddy and the bridge just sounds horrible. They both lack presence and punch. I'm in the market for a strat, but I figure I'll want some good humbucking sounds as well. So, what humbuckers do you all recommend? I listen to classic rock and Pearl Jam. Go at it!

considering the guitar and what I think you want.

I suggest looking into the Lindy Fralin Unbuckers. (and humbuckers)

    this should help your search.

My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
