I've heard Mel Bay is good. Any feedback or suggestions?
Thanks.

When I played guitar ( I sucked at it so I moved to bass, cause I couldn't do power and bar chords at all) but the Larry Little video series is great for starting out. There are 2 volumes: The first teaches you basic chords both major and minor and the parts of the guitar/ how to tune it and all that good stuff. After all the chords and it includes video screen powerpoint type diagrams as Larry coaches you through the chords. On the first vhs/dvd he teaches you how to play house of the rising sun, Stand by me, and Pretty woman. The 2nd video goes more into scales/ bahr and power chords and teaches you Jumpin jack flash, Proud Mary, and You really got me. But this is a great Guitar video for beginners and it comes with books too, that are just like the video, but just in book form. I am probably gonna get his bass book series soon.
