Eastwood Guitars: Hype or Really that good? Anyone Know?

Hello, friends. This is my first post in the "gearheads" section. I am in the market for a decent electric with some fat tone. I'm interested to find out if anyone here has heard or played Eastwood guitars. I am particularly interested in the Ultra-GP (an old Ovation re-issue made to compete with Les Paul's...didn't make many.....didn't sell many). I've read great things about this guitar, I'm talking 5 out of 5 stars in Total Guitar Mag. Has anyone played one? Any reccomendations? I appreciate the help and apologize if there is already a thread on this subject.
