My First Fender Strat

so in a few months im gonna buy a fender strat, but im not sure on which one to get, i have narrowed it down to a American Stratocaster or a deluxe American stratocaster. is the deluxe worth the extra cash$?

    its my second guitar...my first was a yahmaha acoustic but this was my first electric and i still have it, i fuckin love it

    i played the american strat and the deluxe, its not much of a difference, id say get the american strat, or if u really want to save some money, go with the fat :D

    I agree. Get the American Standard. And I also agree that the Fat Strat is a nice option.

    the guitar sounds kick ass and the pickups are VERY GOOD but if you want to make it more of a warmer sound change the humbucker to a seymor duncan...my friend did that to his fat strat (he got one after i got mine) and it sounds even better...but again the american strat is what? 1000$? for 400$ the fat strat is fucking awsome, i like my fat better than the american strat...add a seymor duncan (if you want, i havent done it) and you will be very very satisfied

  • i tend to go for single coils more than humbucker though, i have a 1987 japanese squier stratocater with texas specials, sounds awesome, but i want an american one too. I have played mates' guitars with humbuckers and didnt find them to sound as good as single coil guitars.
  • ah ok then go for the american its not worth the exta 100$ for the deluxe
