getting 1000 dollars for a new guitar

im getting 1000 dollars for my graduation next month and its for a new guitar from my grandparents. well its going towards a new guitar and im looking at possibly a nice hollowbody. i already have a fender and an acoustic. so i was thinking something that cna give me some bluesy riffs but can rock at the saem time....... can i get your thoughts on the best i can get a tthat price.

Look at the Ibanez and Yamaha hollow bodies...big bang for the buck

If you can add some $$ to it, check out the Heritage hollow bodies.

Epiphone Elite has some excellent choices in that range. The Elite Dot (335) and the Elite Casino would be perfect.

the Gretsch Electromatic hollowbody would also be cool with the bigsby and Dearmond 2K pups.

At the music store I work at, we have a Gibson ES 335 on clearance for.....$1599.99!! Thats 1900.01 off of list price! To bad you are out in NH, otherwise, I'd tell you to buy that!

It's so obvious. It only leaves one real question: P-90's or humbuckers?

If I remember right, the Epiphone Lucille is right in that price range, too. A damn good choice.
