I'm trying to learn bar chords to become a somewhat more advanced guitar player. Whatever I do, however, I can't seem to make the B snare sound right. Just not enough pressure. Any tips??

but when you first start playing bar chords it uses muscles you don't exactly use in everyday life so its natural to be awkward at first and get a bit of buzzing.
just keep going and practice and it'll get better
yeah a lot of buzz :( I will keep practising and hope it get's better and it's not some kind of weird bone structure in my finger making me unable to play bar chords
jerry garcia was missing half a finger and i think he was a fine guitar player
No doubt, Jerry is a legend. But his missing finger is on his strumming hand.
MIG too.
Like someone else said, if you are playing a 5-string B barre chord, barre the 2nd fret with the index finger, and the 4th fret with the ring finger. If you're playing a 6-string B barre chord, barre the 7th fret with the index finger, then ring finger, 9th fret, 5th string; pinkie, 9th fret, 4th string; and middle finger, 8th fret, 3rd string. It's basically an open-E chord moved up, and the index finger barring the strings in place of the nut (just like a 5-string barre chord is like an open-A moved up).
