On the second leg of the US tour it was the maple board sunburst Strat.

Now he played a rosewood board Sunburst strat for most of the Reading gig.

This guy changes number 1 guitars more than Ed.

  • I think's he's had that strat for sometime...it sounded great on DTE

Mike was playing a different strat during Even Flow and then after his solo and during Matt's he switched back to his "baby" :D

they might have sent different gear for the europe leg, they are all experimenting now with amps and guitars, i still think the mike strat with marshalls, and stone les paul with fenders should be good, but, let them play around

  • If anything they should give Ed back is SG's....

That Tele sound is awful, way too thin....atleast switch back to the hiwatt

atleast add some more gain, it's basically clean on the verge of breakup...you can't have that tone for old songs that require harder guitar from Ed (Rearview Mirror, Not For You)...my favorite tone was the SG's through the Hiwatt in 03...even in 04, he used the Tele's but through the Hiwatt and it sounded better than now through the Fenders

and did anyone hear Stone's tone from the webcast? HOLY SHIT :D There's the 74x my friends! (of course with that strat :) )...listen to Once and Alive, perfect example

Mike's tone was great as usual...their tones are some of the best I have ever herad them...if only ed would go back! ;)...listen to GTF, perfect ample
