Marshall Mini-Stacks

Im getting a gift for a girl I know who is pretty new to playing guitar. She's living on campus at college, and I figure a mini-stack would be a good choice for her. She's already got a 10-watt amp, but the mini-stack is obviously much more portable and, from what I hear, has a great tone. Does anyone have experience with these little things?

  • I have never heard one personally. But I have heard of people that go as far as to record with these things. They definately have a cult following. They are a very novel idea.

  • Yeah, I've heard that they're good for lead guitar parts in the studio.

i'm gonna have to pick me one up and test it out
  • I tried one out in a pawn shop and was pleasantly surprised. Not bad.

It's no Vibro Champ, though. Or Sovtek, for that matter.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
