Present Tense Effect

I don't know much about effects so please don't flame me but I was just wondering what type of effect mike uses on the studio version of Present Tense. It sounds alot like the effect used on I'm Open and I'm Still Here. Any help would be great!
makes much more sense to live in the present tense

    It sounds alot like a electro-harmonix small stone phaser. If you get a phaser look on Ebay for and old analog phaser. If you get a newer digital phaser it is unlikely you will get the sound your thinking of

    Mike McCready is unlikely to part with his Phase 90 though... I think he used it on PT too.
