Is there any way to simulate a whammy bar in a solo when my guitar doesn't have one?

prebend a note, then bring it down

you can also reach over with your right hand and actually detune the tuner but unless your ears are excellent this creates tuning problems.

    prebending is the best option.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

or grabbing the head stock and giving it a little tug, causing it to bend...

that's what i was going to suggest sort of. grab the horn of the guitar and push towards your body while bracing the neck with your fret hand. that way you don't have to let go of the note.
