Yeah they really are. I just don't care for the 50BLUE's clean channel but the OD is just fuckin amazing, the YCV40WR has an amazing clean channel and the overdrive is nice too.
for most people (me included) it's extraneous and unjustifiable but it's always nice to broaden the palette.
I don't know, so far I've found my amp does all I need it to. Without pedals I can get a nice clean tone, and it dirties up when the pre-amp is cranked and you hit that fat switch.
That definitely doesn't stop me from obsessively thinking about getting another one though!

and then sometimes there are gems like the blues jr.... i think it's also underrated.
i was initially going to go with that lacquered tweed version of the blues jr. yesterday until i found that AC15 under a pile of valvetronics.
the deluxe reverb gets me very close to the one amp to do it all sometimes.
That's my amp! Its kind of funny, because I read all these lengthy discussions about amps, and when I bought mine, I was so clueless, all I knew was that I wanted a tube amp. I was playing the Strat I bought through the Blue Jr. I bought, and didn't think twice about trying anything else. One of those happy accidents I guess.
Yeah, I look back on it and realize what a newbie I was, and just how much you pick up in a short amount of time. I think the time between when I first tried out the Strat and the amp and when I bought them was about a week, which for me and making a purchase is taking my time!
That's what I would like...50BLUE and YCV40WR through an AB switch
Wait a sec.....
I thought you wanted a 1974x and a Bassman with an A/B :p;)

Yeah well, some of us just cant afford that
So we have to have the 40WR for clean and the 50 for distortion...I think even if I did have the money for the bassman and 74xI would have the 40WR for the clean sound...maybe get a Rivera through an A/B switch...HMM!!!!
Why not get everything?! 40WR, 50BLUE, 74x, Bassman, Blues Deluxe RI, Rivera Suprema with a Orange 2x12 extension cab for one of the amps...and call it a day ....then maybe a little vox ac15 to practice with
Ya, why not !!:D

Yeah then throw some BJF pedals...some menatone...an original vox tone bender...why the fuck not?
ill tell you why
TOO FUCKIN EXPENSIVE
It's fun to dream though
