Stupid Question (Zippo Related)

I purchased an EV Zippo, and it states to use "Zippo Lighter Fluid". Before I read that I went out and bought generic lighter fluid. I know it's probably a really dumb question, but is the generic light fluid just as good, or could it possibly somehow hurt the lighter?

I wouldn't take a chance with using it...

You're better off getting the lighter framed and hanging it on the wall.

That's what I'm doing... then I'm going to get like 80 more lighters framed and hang them all on my walls like that guy did with all the tour posters.

Hey thanks..that first link has some good info. The fluid I bought is actually the Ronsonol brand. I'm still not 100% sold if I should use this, or not take the chance and use the Zippo name brand. I'm pretty sure I can return it, but not sure how easy it is to find the Zippo brand.
