i went to a few guitar shops and these were the highlights of em!
1) I played a Gretsch Electromatic Hollowbody, in MINT condition...the reason im saying MINT condition is because it was brand new (in a light blue let me tell you), original price was 900$ the price tag crossed it off and said 750$ then crossed off again and down to 545$...i asked the guy why he said no one is buying it, it has been there for 9 months and only a few people have played it, but no one was interested in it...i said did u mark it down to 545 recently? he said yes today, so i take this "thing" and plug it into a VoxAC30 amp...fuckin, HOW DID THIS THING NOT SELL? fuckin beautiful sound, the action was extremly low, i literally told the guy "ill see you in a week"! i think im going to get that, my first hollowbody, i dont know yet, my dad promised me a guitar because of my grades from this past year...haha...my god, i know its the low end of a gretsch but still, jesus fuckin christ
2) i played a Maxon Sonic Distortion and Marshall Gov'nor...sonic distortion is just bad ass, hands down...alternative sounding to metal, loved it...the marshall govnor was a great OD pedal, marshall did a good job there
3) i played through a Fender 65 Twin Reverb, great clean channal, vibrato - eh not so great..i liked the input 2 on the clean channal but input1 blew me away
... then i got to play my concert reverb 
better OD channal than most fenders but this clean channal is the best on a fender amp IMO
4) I played my acoustic after changing the strings in 2 years, lol...this little 125$ piece of shit sounds pretty good (8 out of 10) with new strings

sounds like a fun day overall.
i loved it, i put a ts9 to it with just the gain half way up, sounded outstanding, and then i put it through half gain on the OD channal, sounded great too
