After Camden...

So at Camden (probably the 2nd best show I have ever been to!, Crowd = nuts)
I got to hear them better in a way because the sound system was better in my opinion than albany and hartford.

Ed has a new Tele, it's red with black pickguard, the tone of it is pretty nice, he was using it more than his other tele (sparkly) last night. His tone is a bit more cleaner.

Stone has added a little bit more overdrive to his tone, I'm still not completely satisfied with it.

For the first time at a show I could hear Jeff's bass pretty good. I could hear it perfectly when he threw in the bass lines to the breakdown of Present Tense.

Mike...oh Mike...His amp was louder for most of the songs which made me happy but for his solos the volume went down for some reason. His tone is great but his sound for the solos on Even Flow (especially) sounded thin with a tiny bit of overdrive, if any.

I saw both Boston and both Camden and didn't see Ed use a red telecaster.

I couldn't tell what Mike's guitar was either...it has a very thin headstock and couldn't make it out from the 7th row. It was in drop-D most of the time but he tuned it up to standard for a one song (must not have wanted to switch guitars).
"I'll do whatever the song dictates - if it doesn't need a real lead, then I won't do one. But if it does, then I'll fuckin' go off." - Mike

"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone

"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
  • I couldn't see terribly well because i was about 20 rows back, but it appeared as if Mike was playing a Gibson Firebird on Leash? Might be wrong but thats what i thought it looked like
makes much more sense to live in the present tense

it's kind of similar but definitely not a firebird. It looks like a child of a Gibson Firebird and a Fender Jaguar.

so basically...no clue what it is but it's damn cool:)

I was wondering if that's the one being referred too.

in the pic it definitely looks red...but in person it looked more brownish. It's definitely a unique color.
