I use nines regularly. I have no problem with them, good and easy to use.

Have a set up with 13's, but thats just for mucking around and being silly....

My acoustic has Martin SP Phosphor Bronze 13s...and I string my electric with D'Addario Chrome 11s.

The SPs didn't last as long as I thought they would. Does anyone know if the Marquis or SP+ survive longer enough to be worth the extra cost?

I use Ernie Ball 10´s, I think they have a good range and are good for solos.

I use DR or GHS boomers 11-52 on my strat and 12-54 on my les paul. So I guess I am silly and just muck around. 9's are for children and have absolutley no tone.

I've got two guitars with Ernie Ball 9s (one=super slinky), one with 10s and my acoustic with 13s (don't remember brand).
    I love my Balls. :D

D'Addario 10 - 46. I couldn't imagine using anything larger on my Godin electric. There'd be some crazy fret buzz.

11's or 12's on electric depending on the fret scale. 12's on acoustic.

I use Snake Oil strings on electric and John Pearce strings on acoustic

Why depending on fret scale? Can you explain?

    Gladly, my friend :)

The length of the scale, as well as the angle of the headstock, determine the amount of tension exerted on the strings. On shorter scale guitars (ok...Gibsons), I prefer 12's because of the loose feel. On longer scale guitars (my TCM's, or Fender Telecasters for example). I prefer 11's. They're not as easy to whip around on when there's more tension, so you have to sacrifice tone by using smaller strings...unless you have king kong kung fu grip :)

I use 9s mostly and I cant give a brand because I bought a shitload of no name strings(like 12 packs) off this guy on ebay for $20 Canadian but they are really good so it dosnt matter that there no name.

My Ibanez RG550 has D'addario 9.5's on it because I mainly use that guitar for any Satriani songs I might cover, makes the full and double bends easier, plus I play faster.

All my other guitars have D'addario 11's. Except for my Kramer, which is in C# tuning, so I used the B string from a set of my d'addario 11's for the E string, the G string for the B string and so on. Had to buy a single 61 or 62 for my low E. Sounds so sweet.

I've played 14's before, they sound so sweet but the bends were hell and I wimped out after about 6 months. Slowly went through 13's then 12's and settled on 11's. Best of both worlds.
