I was In HEAVEN today

we went to this recording studio just to jam cuz we had no other place to really jam out

so we rent out this studio area...and i think i was in guitar stack heaven

within the room there was:
Ampeg Bass Amp - our bassist was in love
drum set - our drummer said it was a decent set
JBL Pa System - very very good
Mesa Single Rectifier Solo 50 Half Stack - SOUNDED FUCKIN AMAZING!!!!
Marshall JCM800 Lead Half Stack - sounded great but not as good as the mesa

at one point our 2nd guitarist (im first :) ) had to leave to go to a doctors appointment...he was playing out of the jcm800 and i was using the mesa...at one point i took both half stacks put them into a box my friend had and i played out of both of em at the same time, i almost took the walls off :D

sounded soooo fuckin good

how much is the Mesa Single Rectifier Solo 50? what about the Dual?

i also played through a Ibanez TS7 sounds very good one of the best distortion pedals ive played, and ive played A LOT

    Dual Recs are like $1600...Single Recs are like 12....I believe. I'll be getting a Rectoverb, a Single with reverb and better cosmetics...

    yeah i had a great day, way better than those other amps

    i think im going back on saturday, they have this room where they have a Mesa Dual with Mesa Cab, Marshall AVT50 Half Stack, and Marshall JCM800 FULL STACK

    You can probably find a single for a grand if you look hard enough used.

    The triples are about 15.

    Singles actually break up earlier. If you can believe it they sound a lot better with a sonic maximiser in the loop. when I used to sell them that's how we rigged the demo room. It's amazing how much presence you can get out of a mesa with a 99 dollar BBE Maximiser.
    My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    damnit still a grand...that means about 15-1700 for the half stack...eek
