I miss you already, I miss you all day
450$ no bids 37 min left, put in my bid and won!
(it was a 1 day listing too)
But I'm thinking now that I'd go with a Traynor.
Looks like you got a freakin' steal there... enjoy!
MIG have u played them yet?

Two words "Self Biasing".

Nice amp. Good Price. The WR covering is beautiful. The V 30 will be excellent with that circuit too.
If it's self biasing I wonder if 6L6's can be substituted for the 5881's not that either is better, it's just a thought.
Not sure to be honest. I wouldn't want to be the test dumby.

However, if you're going to swap tubes with something different than what it came with, make certain to go to a tech.
That self-biasing thing sounds too good to be true. It basically only calibrates new tubes to the settings that the amp came with.
I know this from experience with my 'self biasing' Traynor.
Nope, haven't seen one at a local dealer yet. I'd love to plug in to one. Or a few.
I'd venture to guess 6L6's could be substituted for 5881's, they're awefully similar tubes, but I'd check the manual or ask a tech first. I'd be interested in what it would do with some 6V6's instead... But keep in mind, I'm still a huge fan of 5881's (a la Mig 50).
You'll have to share a full report when you get it...
I saw a guy with an old Traynor 1x12" combo (mid-70's model) that sounded amazing. The tone of a Twin Reverb, just at a lower output level and the distinctive edge of EL-34's. He bought it a few years back at a second-hand store for $50. I offered him $100, he laughed at me...
I still want a vintage Deluxe Reverb... but alas, no recent info... but I have my fingers crossed!
