As some of you know, I will be singing Last Kiss with my band...ive been practicing to sing it but my voice just doesnt do it...i dont know if its just me....or what

is there like keys and shit i should be singing in or something? is that why? im not a singer (meaning i take classes) im just doing this because im the only one with balls to do it in the band...

it seems like my voice is a little to high pitched, but not much

any help?

  • if your voice doesn't fit a certain key, try a different key.

When myself and a group of guys did last kiss we tuned our guitars down a step to better accompany his voice.

    Don't overthink it..

I guess I take for granted my ability to just "know" how to play/sing in key because i get so confused when people can't do it.

pratice with the music turned down maybe.. so you can hear yourself better with the band and stay in tune.. then when you got it crank it up.

  • it takes practice...........i can't sing well, but i sing at open mics and usually get a good response from the crowd......sometimes i'll start a song singing one way, and then halfway through the song i'll "find" the right spot for my voice......i usually do songs i've never even practiced singing, once you learn how to do it, it comes to you......unless the key is way too high or out of your own range

yes he was lower pitched. We had to take it down a step so he could pull off the "hold me darling just a little while" part.

Its good to see a band being accomodating to a singer for once....its not like playing a gutar where you can chose any octave you want
