For the first time i got to "crank it"...instead of volume 1 for the bedroom, i actually got to put it to volumes 3-5
i use the ts9 for a push and when i did it was all trebly and gross and then i realized i didnt need a push!
the clean channel is just fucking spectacular at those high volumes
the overdrive is just what i want and theres a boost that is just great that the ts9 doesnt do...but then again when do i get crank it?

under the low volumes my Strat sounds so much better than the sg, but at higher volumes it was the other way around

i know ive said this...but this amp is truely MY amp :D

  • Yes!

That amp and mine sound their best at cranked volumes. I never really appreciated mine until I put her up at about 7 in a large concert hall. I just strummed one chord and then went insane with Eruption back when I used to play it.

    That was awesome.

I find the boost function on the Traynor amps only really sounds good when it's loud. Otherwise it's my SD-1 as boost.

    :)

yeah at lower volumes its just very bassy

i feel bad though that 90% of the time im playing in my bedroom and i cant crank it unless neighbors are gone and people are out of th ehouse (which is rare)

Thats cool. glad you got to spank the ass off your amp. it's a great feeling to have them loud. i recently got my Vintage Carlsbro 60 watt Amp up to about 8 - 9 for the 1st time and it was like a fuckin earthquake in the rehersal room. bearing in mind i have a matching 4x12 to boot. at normal levels its ok, very clean, turn it up with a dirt box and it pumps so much bottom end i nearly cried with joy.
Dont take drugs and be a loser
wear a pink shirt and go down the boozer

my ears hurt a bit from band practice... I forgot my earplugs...

I had my amp pushing pretty hard, add in a bass player with 8X10s, a loud texas guitar player running a Super Reverb, a second guitar player with a 412, a loud drummer, and me singing, keyboarding, and harmonica'ing through the PA... put in a small room... mix.

    = LOUD.

I agree. Really a great time to crank things up.
