So I got it last night but only had time for the past hour to play with it

first second i plugged it in i was like FUCK THIS SUCKS

but then i tried different settings including what Boss recomends, they have this Crunch setting that is just GORGEOUS...another setting called Chord Play which is perfect for chords...the American Blues setting is decent not bad

but all these settings dont work well as a boost for my OD setting so i said wtf and did the exact settings i have the Ts9 setup as...and its great, still not "my" sound but its still awsome

turning the gain makes its somewhat fuzzy, which is a nice feature

i dont know if i should get rid of my ts9 or not, i only use it for a boost...the BD-2 is a way better pedal than the ts9 IMO

let me go play some more with it :D

My overall impression is that the TS-9 is smoother with less gain, and the BD-2 is harsher with more gain.

Then again, one of my TS-9's is the Keeley Baked model... it's got a fuckload of gain.

I think the BD-2 lends itself better to a British amp (EL34/EL84 power tubes), whereas the TS-9 sounds better on an American amp (6L6/6V6 power tubes). These are not irrefutable laws, just my opinion...
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
  • yeah i think im returning it

or if anyone wants to trade for something

  • OK

so i played with it some more today, i found a sound that i like quite a bit
works great with the strat, not that good with the SG

so i decided that after christmas when i hopefully get my pedal board or even cables that i desperatly need i can play with it some more
the sound that has the ts9 running through the OD and from the SG is a great freakin sound...works pretty decent with the strat as well...the bd-2 through the OD from the strat is a really nice sound too...if the gain is cranked a little you can get a nice hendrix sound by using the neck pickup

also im in hope for my sonic distortion coming for xmas maybe that will rule all of them
