I bought a RFX solo EQ years ago when I didn't really now much about stuff. (I'm stil kind of clueless) I think I bought it cause it looked cool and had lots of switches on it. Anyway, is it really worth having when playing at home and just messing around? Does it do much to tone. I think I just notice it boosting my volume up a bit and maybe giving it a little punch. Anyway, anyone else have an EQ or should I sell the damn thing? Thanks

what would you like to do with it?

An EQ is designed to boost or cut selected frequencies to deliver a certain sound or shape to the sound.

They are very useful. If it sounds too dark you can brighten it, not fat enough... increase the base, need the highs rolled out... etc.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
