Anyone out there with any experience? I'm looking for something in the $400 at most range and all I've played for the past 5 years is a Fender Mexican P-Bass so I really don't need something amazing to sound decent to me. I'm looking for a full report from you mccready...if you have any info to help me out. Thanks guys.

That i would also like some of the same information................
The biggest problem (for me) is that piezo pickups sound pretty cheesy on an acoustic bass guitar. Out of all the plugged-in A/E basses I've heard, the Guild that Krist Novoselic used for Nirvana's Unplugged was a really great sound. But I'm not sure if that had Guild-installed electronics, or a retro-fit.
