Looking to purchase a bass

I'm looking to purchase a cheap bass just to mess around with, if anyone has one, LMK!

    to tell you the truth

    the squier basses are pretty decent, i know about 3 people who have them, and they are good for the price

    for a little more expensive look at any Ibanez

    I really like Ibanez guitars so I may pick up a used one...thanks, any info on amps? :)

    honestly i dont know

    but my friend has a sick combo amp, ill ask her and ill also ask her for recommendations just give me a price ranger

    I don;t really wanna spend more than $300 for the rig...just something to lay down a bass line for my guitar...here in my small home studio.
