Quite possibly the sleeper hit on "Yield":

How'd you find learning this one. Can you actually play it at speed and do the switch fluidly between 5-7 pattern and 7-9 pattern?

I found this song tough at first and still I miss trings once in a while when playing it at speed.

    So fun though.

Yeah I miss strings on occasion too, and I could probably go faster, I still play all 8 notes, I can't get it to sound right hammering on the 0-5-7 (7-9), I never had a problem with the switching, I just keep it in the same rhythm and move down the fretboard two.

Black's one of my favorite songs to play as well

  • I think it's meant to be played all 8 notes. It sounds ridiculous hammered on and not plucked.

I was surprised at how easy RVM and Black were to play. I love playing them, although it's hard on my crappy acoustic which just rips away at my fingers.

MFC... my favourite PJ song as of now. I own Yield since July... but the son didn't strike me until last Thursday... it's a great song to play along with.
    Had a weird week.

The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.

I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.
