  • I like how you keep the gain under control on Habit. Sounds good.

I really appreciated when people realize you never need as much gain as you think you do to get a great crunch sound.
  • Sounds great. What's your guitar, amp, fx, recording gear, etc?
    Riverside.. LA.. California. EV?

Not only pretty accurate musically but you emulated the guitar sounds well too. Now get someone who sounds like Ed to sing over it and you'll have some of the most close-to-the-original covers ever! If you like Frusciante check out my cover of Second Walk on the band URL in my sig.

    Thanks :-)

I am drumming, and obviously, 2 of my friends are manning the guitars. One bass and one guitar.

Its a crate half stack, with some used crate head.
Took a little messing around with the settings and mic placement, but we got what we were shooting for.

I know our guitarist uses a Crate 1/2 stack and a Jackson guitar with seymore duncan picks ups.

Some of the effects we stock on the head, and some added during mix down with Sony Sound Forge 8.

Nice job... I would've done the live-version of corduroy (but that's just me, cause you could've gotten a sick solo goin at the end), and you should have gone back and recorded with the guitar again during all of corduroy, and not just the end, cause the post-chorus sounds kinda empty (again, might be just me). And I loved the Metallica cover, btw. If you guys got a singer you make an awesome cover band.

Didn't mean to sound like an asshole during the constructive criticism if I did... sorry... :(
And before his first step... He's off again...
