ISO good 4-track recorder

im looking to buy a high quality, affordable 4-track recorder to help me start getting some of my songs out of my head and a stack of notebooks and into a real listenable format... anyone have a suggestion of a good one? thanks!

oh and i should add... i dont care if its digital or just onto cassette... whichever easier to operate cause im kindof technologically impaired

upon doing a lil more research i might opt for an 8-track to leave room for expansion later on... provided i can get one for a good price... is this one any good?

£599?!? is that right?? im not great with converting to $ but i know that significantly more than i was looking to spend... looking to stay in the $100-$150 range... thanks for the recommendation tho... is there somewhere i can get that one for a good price?

That article was published in 2001, it'd be a quarter of the price now. That Tascam's a great buy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one but, then, I know what I'm doing. You might be better off with one of the Boss models, they're specifically designed for guitar-playing dummards, or, if you prefer, "retarists".

the idea is for me to learn what im doing... i wouldnt say im a "retarists"... im a quick learner... the interface on the tascam looks simple enough... im sure with enough practice ill figure it out... thanks for the advice... ill probably get the tascam if the price doesnt get any higher
