I use windows 98 and I have Creative Soundblaster Live where you can plug the guitar into the front of the computer, but I dont know how to set itup so that the PC will recognize the guitar or will record from the Line-in port. Anyone know how?

  • you use it just like a mic. Just make sure when you use it you go to your master volume and make sure the mic isn't muted. and turn the mic volume up in volume control too

  • Which SoundBlaster card is it?

Is it the original SoundBlaster Live! (ie: cream coloured) or the SoundBlaster Audigy (ie: black coloured)?

I have the original one. To record from guitar, I have to switch that guitar input to line-level which is done by turning the level knob all the way down until there is a click. I then plug my V-Amp2 in and go nuts.

I don't recommend plugging the guitar directly into the soundcard unless you don't care about sound quality.
