how's he getting that slight wah sound during all parts but the solo and ending; I know he uses a wah pedal there, but it doesn't sound right for the intro/verses/chorus...

  • You mean live? He may just leave the wah in the toe down position for some parts. As for the record, sounds just like a strat into a clean marshall, with probably a tubescreamer for the solo.

  • It' a swirling effect. I think that's what you're talking about. It's a univibe. He uses a Line 6 MM4 but I get the same thing with a Rotovibe. I tried it with a phaser and I also tried a flanger but it didn't work well. Just put the internsity all the way up, have the chorus on, and then have the pedal cocked all the way back and you should have it (If you have a rotofvibe :) ).
