Can we take a minute to talk about No Way?

Sadly, No Way is never played live. 3 times ever :(
What gives?
It's such a great song, better than a lot of the songs that they actually play a lot... I remember hearing it for the very first time when I got Yield back in the day, and it was instantly one of my favorites on the record.
I've heard the live versions of it, so why do they not play it?
Check out this youtube clip...

sounds GREAT to me! 2008 would have been the BEST time to bring it out and they didn't, something HAS to be up with this song... there's got to be a reason why they don't do it.

i blast this song when im working the ER room at work
the acoustics in there are , well , very good.
( maybe its the lead lined walls ? )
anyhow- some on those other threads said NO Way was the perfect emergency room song.
Love this song,
certainly wouldve loved to hear it but it wasnt in the cards.
pe4haps the next go around, we can begin a no way campaign, like the breath one at msg a few years back.

The sign campaign worked for Breath, it is worth a try!
Speaking of this ... Thanks to those at Alpine 03 for the
awesome signs! It worked that evening, along with the
many chants for it as well!
Next tour for sure!

I wonder when they will stop trying to please the masses and completely play bizzare stuff, even if the set isn't crazy i.e getting the crowed by playing stuff liked DTE and Alive.
The Smashing Pumpkins are doing a gish tour, they havent played any gish since reform, except daydream but thats messed up version. And they are only playing a few cities and very small venues...
Maybe PJ could do some intimate cool stuff like that.
fascinating read
thanks for posting.

np, actually the rest of the site is pretty cool too... I'm reading about some of these songs and looking at them in ways I haven't before... it's very interesting.
"The chorus ended up saying maybe you, maybe we all need to just live life and quit trying to prove something. For me, the funnest part is the fact that Eddie's singing the line about not making a difference. . . . I think he gets off on not being responsible for it."

If you hate something, don't you do it too
I also do believe that they should start playing different songs, make the concert more like a surprise. Every concert that I have been to, when they start to play Alive, I know that the concert is about to end. If they changed just a bit and not play so many repeated songs, the concert atmosphere would change dramatically, and in my opinion would be a lot more interesting.
very cool read, thank you for posting!
I really hope they pull this one out of their hat someday. Been one of my favs from Yield ever since it was released!
Also, I would love to here Cameron tear it up.
2009 Tour - plug it in the 3 or 4 slot just once. Please!
Thinking if he can't sleep, how will he ever dream?
But his heart don't seem to roam......
the transition from faithful into No Way is one of the best on any PJ album.
This whole tour I sat there with my hands crossed repeating over and over "please play no way, please play no way"
No such luck.
